Defending champion Paul Gaffuri and runner up Peter Wojtas returned to renew their summer long battle at the Moose Milers 5K Trail Run Series, but newcomer Frank Karpo stole their thunder and the race #1 victory. Karpo overtook Gaffuri in the last half mile for an 18:59 to 19:06 win on the rain-soaked course. Wojtas followed in 3rd place in 20:21. The Moose Milers Trail Run Series continues every Monday night through August 23 (except July 5) starting from Stellos Stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire at 6:30 PM.
