They used to say it would never work in East Somerville...now look at all the fun they have down there...so who is to say that ole PC can't turn the Charles River into a swimmers paradise???

Well I didn't make my 30 person quota and lost the bet...but I did participate and it felt good as I got soundly beat by a great group of folks...funny how I can be 6th out of the water, smoked on the bike and then got passed by everyone on the run...but had a cold Harpoon awaiting as I crossed the Finish Line and enjoyed the whole experience...time to start running more:>)

And speaking of running cause we had the weekly 2.6 miler also...some folks just need to get to the hamburgers quicker than others…another PC trained athlete smoked another runner from one of those top flight running clubs…Will Watson of the SSAC Farm Team forced a fierce pace against B.A.A. trained Joe Bator with Will holding the lead to the Arsenal Street bridge and Joe then passing and then Will fighting the demons to finish strong for the win...us SSAC'ers like to come from behind and then set the pace:>)

 

Oh and before I have a ladies mutiny…newcomer and ladies winner Keri Alves of Brockton, Massachusetts graced us with her presence...we love folks from real towns and cities like Brockton and Leominster, Massachusetts which is home to the lady scooting across the finish line with new baby in tow...Amanda Whittemore:>)
