| Another warm and sunny day in the country's best town. For the first time in the 16 years of this event, a woman topped the field. Mimi Corcoran of nearby Mendon, rolled away from Jim Perry to win handily. Justin Contois of North Grafton was the first local to finish. Grafton residents took 5 of the top 10 spots and declared its readiness for the World Team Road Racing competitin. Joe Drugan was the top CMS finisher, placing 15th overall and first in the 60+ age group. George Paradis was #2 for CMS, 3rd in the 50s group. David Vanasse was the 3rd CMS finisher, 30th overall. Otto Lies and Art French were 2-3 in the 60s group. Deborah Sendrowski was 3rd in the women's 30s group. Laura Beckwith topped her age group. The army of Grafton volunteers ensured another successful road race. | |
