Somerville Striders Athletic Club
Loads of different club members tonight..but the toughest one has to be 71 year old Jack Curtin of the North Medford Club...busting a you know what with 50 meters to go..working hard to whup 36 year old Keith Palmer..Keith got him but you know Fred Brown -Head Guru of the NMC'ers was lookin' down with a smile on his face..saying "go get em' Jack!!
ADD a little pinch of BEEF and little pinch of ALE and what you get is a well rounded group of runners and friends..some real fast type..a whole bunch who saw better day's as athletes and a few that ask the cook before the start to save some of the goodies cause it may take awhile..A nice crowd tonight that really supported the VFW Logan Post.
The VFW Logan Post in Teele Square does a lot of good things in the city of Somerville..hosting all sorts of civic activities from the youth to the elderly..so any time you drop a dollar down your not just helping the VFW Logan Post but many other civic minded organizations that use the place for it's activities..
