The April Fool's Mud Run was run fittingly on April 1, 2001. The race was run on a snow covered, beautiful mostly single track trail in Boxford Massachusetts on a cold, raw day. Distances were changed from 5, 10 and 20 miles to a 6, 12 and 18 due to weather related problems and elements beyond the control of race organizers. Race officials considered postponing the runs, but went ahead and held it. A great time was had by all.
