10K RUN AWARD DIVISIONS: THREE TOP 10K PRIZES: TRIPS* TO AVON RUNNING NATIONAL 10K CHAMPIONSHIP Overall woman Winner, 1st Master (40 years and over) and 1st Avon Representative at each US event win an expense paid trip to the Avon Running National 10K Championship in Chicago (Morton Grove, IL) on November 8, 1998. Avon Representative must be active at the time of the event.
Overall – First 10 finishers. Not eligible for Age Group Awards
Age Groups – Top 3 finishers in each age categories:

| 20-24 | 45-49 | 70-74 |
| 25-29 | 50-54 | 75-79 |
| 30-34 | 55-59 | 80 & over |
Wheelchair – First wheelchair finisher.
Mother/Daughter – First 3 Mother & Daughter teams based on their combined time. Mother and daughter must each fill out an entry form and mail both together in one envelope. Entries must be received by race administration no less than one week before the event.
Team Division – Top 3 teams. Teams must enter from 3 to 5 individuals. Top 3 team finishers' combined time will count. Ties are broken by the first finisher's place. Team members must each fill out an entry form. All team entries must be sent together in the same envelope. Entries must be received by race administration no less than one week before the event.
Avon Representatives – Top 3 Avon Representative finishers. Must be active for 6 months prior to race day to be eligible for this award.
TRIPS TO AVON RUNNING US 10K NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP:
In addition to the above awards, the following 3 runners will be awarded a trip to the Avon Running US 10K National Championship in Chicago (Morton Grove, IL) on November 8th: Overall winner, 1st Master and 1st Avon Representative (must be active at the time of championship).
EARN POINTS FOR TRIP AWARDS:
The 2nd through 15th finishers will earn points. Any woman accumulating a total of 15 points in Avon Running US events during the same calendar year will be awarded a trip to the Avon Running National 10K Championship. Points are awarded as follows:
| 2nd = 14 points | 7th = 9 points | 12th = 4 points |
| 3rd = 13 points | 8th = 8 points | 13th = 3 points |
| 4th = 12 points | 9th = 7 points | 14th = 2 points |
| 5th = 11 points | 10th = 6 points | 15th = 1 point |
| 6th = 10 points | 11th = 5 points |
*TRIP AWARDS:
Avon Running staff will make arrangements for round-trip coach airfare originating within the United States, 2 nights hotel, per diem and a waived entry into the championship event.
