Clinics - for beginner walkers and runners:
Start October 6, and be in shape by December 9, No experience necessary! Kick off clinics will be held at the Lady Foot Locker stores located at Paradise Valley Mall on 9/29/01 at 9:00am; at Arrowhead Mall on 9/28/01 at 3:00pm and at Fiesta Mall on 9/28/01 at 7:00pm. Come and meet Kathrine Switzer. "The woman who broke the gender barrier at the Boston Marathon" FEE: $25. Includes entry into the 5K or 10K, Avon Running in-training T-shirt, 8 week training program, group runs and guest speakers. Timing & Scoring:
This event will be timed and scored using the ChampionChip timing system. Runners will be issued a timing chip on race morning which will automatically record your exact start and finish time as you cross the lines. THIS CHIP MUST BE ATTACHED TO YOUR SHOE AND MUST BE RETURNED AFTER THE RACE.

· Kids' Santa's Sprint:
For all children age 12 and under who participate in the Kids' Santa's Sprint will receive a T-shirt, finisher's ribbon and Christmas candy.
