Join us in Newport, Rhode Island this October for the 15th anniversary of the Nifty Fifty Ultra. During the past two decades the Nifty Fifty in Southern Rhode Island has developed a great tradition and has played host to many ultrarunners' first venture into the sport.
Time:	7:00 a.m.
Place:	Rolling loop course on roads in Newport, starting at Gaudet School on Turner Road in Middleton. Very scenic, through quiet, rural neighborhoods, with great views of the ocean, bird sanctuaries, and the beautiful campus of St. Georges School.
Distance:	50 Miles (no 50K this year) Held in conjunction with The Breakers Marathon The only marathon currently held in Rhode Island
Entry Fee:	$45 to 10/1; $55 to 10/21; $60 Post
Course Description:	Rolling loop course on roads in Newport, starting at Gaudet School on Turner Road in Middleton. Very scenic, through quiet, rural neighborhoods, with great views of the ocean, bird sanctuaries, and the beautiful campus of St. Georges School.
Awards:	Medals to all 50-mile finishers within 11 hours, all 50-km and marathon finishers within six hours.
Amenities:	Two aid stations on each loop with water, Gatorade, Coke, sports gel, energy bars, sandwiches, soup, etc. Complete race statistics will be provided for each runner, including splits for every loop.
Directions to Start:	The start is Gaudet School on Turner Road. If traveling south from Providence, follow route 195 to route 24 south. From route 24, look for route 138 south. Take route 138 into Middletown and turn left at Wyatt Road. The school is a half-mile down on the right. Coming from Connecticut and points south, follow route 138 through Narragansett and into Newport. Keep following the signs for route 138 in Newport. Once over the bridge into Newport, it is about 3.5 miles to Wyatt Road. Take a right and it will bring you to the school on the right.
Additional Information:	Pre-race dinner on Saturday evening. Post-race dinner and awards at the Gaudet School in Middletown. Host hotel: Howard Johnson's, 351 West Main Road, Middletown, RI (401) 849-2000. T.F. Green airport outside of Providence is approximately 30 miles north of Newport, on I-95.
